Responsiblities
Design and sketch silhouettes under the supervision of the Design Director that are in line with brand vision and market trends.
Perform extensive market research on trends to refresh offering for the brands, while maintaining the newness of each core categories within the line seasonally through previous sales and bestsellers.
Work in a team setting to create mood board for the season and present new ideas to all cross-functional team members.
Work closely with Product Development to develop new Prints, Fabrications & Trims for each season.
Resolve design related issues with production team when they arise and provide all information necessary in a timely manner.
Monitor Status of Prototypes thru the design cycle. Work with Design and Production on all calendar dates.
Ensure that all silhouette information is detailed clearly using Guess formats. Ensure that all information is entered into the system correctly.
Work with the Technical Designer to ensure that all details are discussed and clearly understood. Responsible for communicating changes accurately and timely.
Attend all fittings timely. Ensure that all fit comments are discussed thoroughly and the Technical Designer follows through properly. Ensure that all styles are fitted according to corporate standards.
Work with Assistant to update information on LDS when necessary. Ensure that Assistants have entered all pertinent information correctly and it is reflected accurately on the grids, detail and line sheets.
